1. Festive, fall flowers always make an impression
Whether you opt for seasonal stems or dried arrangements, flowers always help to bring the whole aesthetic of the day together. One of our favorite trends is to use a mixture of both! Intertwine fresh florals into your bouquet and boutonniere, then use dried flowers for your tablescapes. Bonus: you can keep the dried arrangements and display them in your home! Follow our Pinterest board for alllll of the flower inspo you need.
2. Set the table (and the mood)
One of our favorite aspects of autumn is the moody and striking color palettes that come with this time of year. What better way to incorporate these hues into your day than with an elaborate tablescape?! Layer darker elements with pops of bright colors to create a cohesive display for you and your guests to enjoy. Add another element of fall by bringing in nature. This couple added seasonal fruit to their guests' plates and we’re so here for it.
3. Incorporate a stunning seating chart
This seating chart is one for the books! The rustic appearance of the mirror with the table assignments listed presents a fun and unique way for your guests to find their seat. The candles help to set the mood and you can incorporate your flowers to complete the look.
4. Tis' the season for hot toddy's
The fall season means it’s finally acceptable to indulge in yummy, warm cocktails (though we won’t judge if you drink them year around). Setup a festive drink station at your fall wedding that your guests can visit and create their cocktail of choice, whether it’s a traditional hot toddy or an apple cider and bourbon mix. Incorporating seasonal glassware and fall decor, such as mini pumpkins or a cozy blanket, are the perfect additions for your guests to enjoy.
5. Offer a cake that tastes AND looks festive
We are all in on team #weddingcake and love using this tasty treat to really drive home your fall wedding theme. With seasonal colors and touches of festive flowers, you can make your wedding cake a focal point for the evening. Not everyone is team cake and we absolutely understand. We love the idea of offering mini seasonal pies, a macaroon tower in fall colors, or a s’mores bar!
6. To have and to hold, and to keep your guests warm
If the weather is going to be cooling down in the location of your wedding, offer blankets to your guests to enjoy while you say “I do!” You can even let your guests take them home at the end of the night to double as a fun gift.
